Don't ring around one who's the problem. You may have heard us talk in the past on sound opinions about the cloud, the next

step in the evolution of digital music, the idea that somewhere in the ether you can store all your music

and access it at any time from anywhere on any of your devices you no longer have to be

tethered to your music collection.

Well, the first major corporate step

toward making that a reality happened late Monday.

Amazon.com introduced its new Amazon Cloud Drive. This is essentially a 5 gig storage locker up there in space

where all of the music on your hard drive can be uploaded to this storage locker that you

can then tap into and have streaming audio or download your

own music into whatever device you're carrying at the moment, wherever you happen to be, providing
