Hello my beautiful friends and welcome. I wanted to let you know about an important change coming up for this

0:06.5

podcast. I started the How My Parents Raised Me podcast because I wanted to put clear messages out into the world that the mental illness, the physical

illness, the trauma we experience as adults comes from our childhood. It comes from our parents and how they

women who looked to be achieving amazing things in their lives. And yet they were holding real trauma stories beneath the smiles and the neat and tidy lives that they were portraying and they'd never shared any of it before and I was so honored that these incredible women would sit with me and

2:05.5

pour their hearts out and speak of unspeakable abuses and abandonment in order to

2:12.0

allow a listener of this podcast to feel less alone.

2:17.0

To hear how they made it through, how they healed and moved on, how they had thrived and were now creating a beautiful
