Welcome in everyone to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast Friday, December 16th, and you are in the studio.

So for what is closing in on one of the last episodes of the calendar year,

we'll have one, maybe two more. This particular episode, I've been sitting on this actually

since the beginning of October. This conversation is with Dan InFault. We recorded it around

a campfire one evening at our Northern Michigan deer camp back here at the front end of October.

And honestly, I've just been like, I've been excited to share it, but holding it at the same time because, well, honestly, it was like, it's a privilege and an opportunity for me to be able to

record this conversation and share it with you, the listening audience. For those of you that know,

Dan's kind of been a forefront mentor for me. You know, just a little backstory. If you don't know,

I grew up hunting private land until I was,

geez, you know, in my 30s, really. I just hunted for, you know, 95% of what I did growing up for

those decades was all done on private land. And it wasn't until in my 30s, really honestly, when I started this

six years ago that I really started appreciating the ability to venture out by means of public land.

And Dan was one of the guys that I turned to, you know, the Beast Forum originally to try to figure out what in the world, how to approach this.

And it took me quite some time to, and I still am.

Dan will say, like, especially back when Dan would say things, and I would hear it, but I just couldn't, I would hear it and hear it and hear it, but I couldn't understand it. And it's interesting now that I've been doing this for a handful of years, how I can listen to what he says and understand it. And so I've been listening to him and Josh.
