Hello and welcome to a special edition of the Pink Bike podcast presented with Intense and I'm joined by Pink Bike Big Boss Brian Park as we sort of have a bit of a dive into Intents as history

as well as what it's going and some of the interesting changes it's got in terms of not

only the bikes it's bringing out, but also how you could buy your next intense. So I'm

joined by founder and creative director Jeff Jeff Sieber, technical director, John

Hall, and VP of Sales and Marketing Mike Garp as we get into it. Jeff, we were talking a bit

about, you know, what we're going to discuss today before just now in the sort of in the green

room, so to speak. And you were saying that, how to put this,

that the story and the history of intents

has been covered in great depth over the years, numerous times.

But there seems to be a bit of a real appetite in the audience

to find out more about this brand that you're right,

has been really well documented.

What is it about your brand and your history?

Do you think that really strikes accord with the core mountain biker?

Oh, you know, going years back and I'm going to date myself here a little bit,

turn of the century, you know know when they started intense you know

there was there was no business plan I was just making cool bikes initially for

myself and then eventually you know racers specifically downhill racers saw the

product and latched onto it and if if you remember in that era, early 90s, you know, downhill races were racing on hardtails, basically.

And, you know, with a suspension fork and limited travel.

And I never started making hard tails.

I just right away, you know, from an off-road background a little bit in motocross and that sort of thing, I realized, hey, we're riding off-road, we need suspension.
