Welcome to Grumpy old geeks, I'm Jason DeFilippo. And I'm Brian Schultmeister.

Brian, I hate computers. We're in the wrong line of business then.

Wednesday night my laptop just all of a sudden this is my editing laptop that I basically do all

my editing work on just rebooted for no reason came back and yeah was not coming back every time again.

So I started to do the old you know okay let's get the time machine back up going okay oh shit

I stopped it five days ago so it's not really up to date thank god I work on an external disk for

most of my stuff and I started to pull up the backup started out with 40 hours to go.

Right then it got up to 72 hours to keep in there done that so eventually I wise and up

and plugged it into the ethernet and plugged it directly into the router and it only took overnight

but now it's like of course nothing works the way it should right nothing.

Ah computer so I hope you got some stories for me this week because I've been screaming at the

work and roll. Yeah we've got some stories we've got some follow up going back to our DNA

testing there's an interesting article that was written by John Edward Terrell who happens to be a

professor of anthropology so he knows of which he speaks that talks about his unhappiness with

with these DNA tests and the popularity that they're getting and the way they're kind of being

marketed because they are reinforcing what he considers to be terrible and scientifically
