Summary

This week we go back in time and revisit Corrine’s experience going through a divorce in her early 20s. We talk about how her life intersected with Neil’s, what it was like for both of them during that time, and what helped Corrine survive. She shares tips on what her friends did to support her, some of the lessons she learned in retrospect, and what she would tell herself if she could give her younger self advice before going through all of this. different stories and a lot of them end up being the same which is good. They come from, think great experiences, but I think one I was trying to think of a story or time of life or something about us or you that would be unique or super helpful for people in general.

And I thought of the time after,

0:38.6

about the time we met when you were coming off of a divorce and then we know we started dating and during that time I look at kind of where you were in your life and you know it's just kind of crazy because fast forward could

things are and all the great things that have happened.

And for me and probably for you, look at who you were then versus who you are now.

1:11.6

And if you could compare the pictures and if I could have shown you back then it would just be like mind blowing.

1:17.0

Totally.

1:18.0

Super interesting. I just thought that'd be something cool to talk about.

1:21.0

Well, I think we have to set up a little bit of what

1:25.8

happened before in order for this to make sense so and I've talked about my

1:32.4

mistake and not listening to the spirit when you know the

1:35.8

spirit tried to prompt me before I got married the first time but I got married

1:42.0

right out of college and it was kind of like all of my friends were getting

1:45.4

married and I felt this kind of like sense of Foma or something like, oh my gosh, we're all leaving, like everyone's

1:55.1

scattering and if I don't get married now I might end up like one of those girls

1:59.7

that never gets married in. So when there was an opportunity, I mean I remember like trying to talk myself into this

is going to be a more stable relationship because I'd had a really toxic unhealthy relationship

2:16.7

my junior year of college. Right, right, dating relationships. So then my senior year I met who ended up being my ex-husband.

2:29.2

But when I met him I was like this is going to be better, is going to be stable and he had like all

2:34.4

the things on the list that I had written out of like what I wanted in a husband and so on paper, literally, it looked really good. It looks like, okay, this is all
