Hello, there, Wild Souls, and welcome back to the podcast.

So delighted to be gathered with all of you on this very momentous, very beautiful, very special

point on the wheel of the year. Really always, it's always lovely to be here. But especially today, we're marking our many, many different,

very important thresholds on this wheel, on the spiral of the year. Number one, we're moving into

Capricorn season. Capricorn is Cardinal Earth. This marks one of our kind of four seasonal spirals of the year.

We understand and mark those spirals with each of our cardinal signs in astrology. So this is the

deep earth season. It's deep winter. It's deep rest. Even if you are not

in winter right now, even if it's quite warm where you are. I mean, I would argue that like

summer in the Northern Hem hemisphere is our water season because we kick off the summer season in cancer, which is cardinal water.

So like really no matter what you do or kind of no matter where you are in the world, whether you're experiencing summer or winter today at the solstice on the first day of Capricorn, whether you're deeply

wintering or you're deeply summering. I feel like summer, there's really no escaping the fact

that summer can be, yes, a very social time, but despite the sort of cultural leanings of it,

is a pretty deep time actually.

But for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, a time of very deep wintering.

So we're moving and navigating our way into our earth spiral of the year from now until the last day of Pisces

season around March 20th. And of course, today is the solstice. So happy solstice to everyone.

Oh man, solstices are, they're just so powerful. And I mean, I have nothing poetic to say. I certainly have no, like, historical information to share that I'm confident and solid enough to share. In some ways, I feel like what can be shared about the solstice that hasn't already been shared.

I just, I'm frankly grateful to be celebrating it with you.
