Greetings, people, love by God. So last time we wrapped up Proverbs

five, as you recall, in contrast to the allure of the forbidden woman, Solomon urged his son,

somewhat ironically, we noted, to take delight in the wife of his youth. He described her as one's own cistern and well,

and suggested that being faithful to her would keep one from scattering one's springs abroad,

streams of water in the street, as he put it. The image was clear. The marriage bed is holy,

and it is to be enjoyed in private.
