0:29.8	stories for you today and the last story comes from the 28th of February 2023 and story number
0:35.1	one comes from Amy. I live in an old Georgian four-floor townhouse in the UK. This might
0:42.0	sound grand but it has been converted into a student house so there are seven of us in here
0:46.7	and we have limited communal space. Despite the university doing its best to strip the house of
0:52.4	character, this house does still have a feel. It seems ordinary when we are all in the house however
0:59.0	being alone in the house is another matter. For example, I was the only one staying here last
1:04.2	summer and I hated, absolutely hated leaving my room on the top floor when it got dark. It was as if
1:11.4	a switch had been flicked. I'd be absolutely fine in the day but after a certain point in the
1:16.5	evening I'd become aware of how large the house felt around me. The thought of going downstairs
1:21.4	to the kitchen or the bathroom filled me with dread in a way I have never experienced before.
1:27.1	That summer was also the first time in my life I have experienced repetitive dreams.
1:31.9	I dreamt multiple times that I was actually awake. I was aware that someone was in the house
1:37.3	that shouldn't be and I would dream of dragging my wardrobe or desk in front of the bedroom door
1:42.0	to barricade myself in. When I woke up in reality I would feel very disorientated.
1:48.7	I let my boyfriend stay in my room briefly while I myself was away and even he, a very pragmatic
1:54.8	person, commented that the house felt creepy at night. Once everyone had returned after
2:01.0	summer the house felt normal again. However last night at around 12.30am music was suddenly blasting
2:08.4	through the house. It was so loud that my floor was vibrating and the window of my room was
2:14.2	shaking in its frame. I was incredibly confused because we always warn each other if anyone is
2:19.8	having a party and my housemates had not told me anything. I messaged our group chat asking
2:26.3	where the music was coming from and if it could be turned down. No one answered. After five minutes
