You know what's important to stay hydrated, don't you?

We're coming up on summer and here in South Texas, that means brutally hot days or around the

corner. Down here, if you don't drink enough water, your body will suffer.

The same is true of your soul. It needs to be hydrated.

In Jesus does for your soul what water does for your body.

He comes in, he invades every little part, and he gives you what you need to live.

When Moses buries his bearded face and his callus tans and he sits on the rock and he

plus a size so strong that it stirs the dust between his feet.

He covers his eyes and wishes he could do the same for his ears because he does not like what he is

hearing. Give us water that we may drink that people are saying. Why now? Have you brought us

up from Egypt to kill us and our livestock and our children and our livestock with us?

The Hebrews are accusing him. They're calling Moses a killer. They're forming a lynch mob.

They're picking out a tree. He's never seen them like this. He's seen them whine. They whine daily.

Grumble, they've made grumbling into an art form. But to threaten to kill him,

murder by mayhem. This has not happened before. He's thinking I was safer back in the

days of Pharaoh. He's sitting in a tornado of pumping fists and wild eyes and he looks up to God

and he prays, what shall I do with these people? A little more and they will stone me.

Blame the anger of the people on their thirst. You see, they've gone days without water now.
