Summary

National DV Hotline: (800) 799 - 7233 National DV Website: https://www.thehotline.org (https://www.thehotline.org) La Mu’s livestream started with her singing, dancing and interacting with her viewers as usual. Her lives were always a safe space on the internet. Everyone loved La Mu for being a wholesome influencer. But suddenly, on camera, La Mu’s expression changed. She went from smiling to looking fearful. She stood up abruptly, knocked over her phone, but the live never disconnected. The horrified audience could hear her screaming “murderer!” They could hear her yelling for help. She told everyone to run because she had just been doused with gasoline and he was about to set her on fire… Was she faking it? Was it a stalker? Was it someone she knew? Who would set her on fire in the middle of a livestream? was kind of a lot of people's comfort vlogger. She was a safe space for most people. She was

0:43.3

one of the wholesome ones on the internet. And so all of her live streams, all of her videos,

0:48.3

her overall presence online just brought a lot of peace to those that were watching.

But this one would be very different because it would be her very last live stream.

Only a couple minutes after the live stream started. A lot of the viewers had heard this

1:03.0

very loud bang from off screen. And La Mou looked up. She looks immediately alarmed.

1:08.2

You can see that on the camera. And viewers are tuning into the live. They could sort of

1:12.4

hear these heavy footsteps on the wood floor. And La Mou jumps up, knocking her phone flat

1:18.6

off the tripod. So it's, the screen goes dark. You can't see anything, but the live was

1:23.6

not disconnected. So you can still hear everything that's going on. There's some sort of

1:28.5

tussle people are confused. And there's this sound of water or some sort of liquid that

1:34.0

was pouring around. That was kind of being splashed as if someone took a water cup and

1:37.6

just threw it at someone. La Mou is heard screaming, help, murder, help. Then there were
