Summary

Hi Beauties!

On this week’s episode of Beauty Bytes with Dr. Kay: Secrets of a Plastic Surgeon, I am excited to be joined by health and wellness coach, Kelley Nemiro. Kelley had hypothyroidism and irritable bowel syndrome, which caused her hair to fall out, and severe weight gain. She tried everything from the Keto and Paleo Diets to HIIT workouts, and nothing helped. She finally became plant based and started living a low stress life, and she instantly saw improvements. This inspired her to attend the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a health and wellness coach. We talk about having a healthy relationship with food, focusing on hormonal health, practicing mindfulness, and her opinions on birth control! I hope the Beauty Bytes enjoy this episode and find it informative! Have a question or something you’d like covered on the podcast? Send me a DM or email info@beautybydrkay.com

just before she was getting married in Los Angeles. And since then, she's you, you have really

blossomed on Instagram. I watch your feed and I love the health, wellness, meditation and

0:50.2

slow movement kind of a program that you've started. Can you tell us a little bit about that?

0:55.8

Yeah. So thank you so much, first of all, for having me. I so appreciate it. And I started my program,

1:04.3

or my whole Instagram, rather, based on the fact that I went through some really hard times. It was pretty

1:14.3

much in my early 20s where I was having really horrible, irritable bowel syndrome, severe

1:21.6

hypothyroidism, where my hair was falling out. And I had all this weight I couldn't lose

1:27.2

because of this ongoing

1:29.0

inflammation that was in my body. And at first I had no idea how to heal it. And so I was one of

1:35.8

those people that tried everything out there from the paleo diet to hit workouts to, you know,

1:42.5

everything that is under the sun. I gave it a go. And I finally found

1:48.3

things that worked from me. And it really came down to slowing things down, slowing all the

1:52.9

stress down, taking that out of my life and healing that inflammation, which healed everything

1:58.9

else. So I was, you know, really getting my Instagram started.

2:04.8

I wanted to share that stuff with everybody else because I know there are so many people
