Hey everyone and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime where we get Big Mad over True Crime.

I'm your host Heather Ashley and today you'll be hearing part two of the Murder of Garnet Spears.

Small talk sucks so let's dive in. Last week we covered the lies of Lacey, Garnet's complicated medical history,

fake Daddy Blake, and Lacey's strange uptick in her internet search history.

We left off on January 13th, 2014 after Garnett reportedly came down with a high fever and

flu and Lacey was up at 4 a.m. searching for infant formula and how many days had passed since she killed off her fake ex

fiance and the father of her child. And while that is weird enough, it got ominous

because an hour and a half after looking for baby formula, for you know

infants with protein allergies, court documents state that Lacey made a search

for normal sodium level for a child. She read an article about them on

Medline Plus then went on a deep dive about Addison's disease. I wanted to know

what she would have found so I looked it up and it's a rare condition where your glands

don't produce enough cortisol or aldosterone. Lack of aldosterone can throw off sodium levels

making a person crave salty foods and suffer from nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.

It would make sense if she had a reason to search Addison's disease,

learned about how it could affect sodium levels and then looked up what

normal sodium levels might look like but Lacey did the exact opposite and

since Garnet had been med flighted as an infant with high sodium levels and Lacey had recently told the new

pediatrician that he had had issues with high sodium levels in the past, you would assume that

she would already know what they're supposed to look like. But let's keep going.

Around 4.30 p.m. that afternoon Lacey took Garnett to the Pediatrician.

They looked him over, ran some tests, and Garnet was totally fine.
