Hey, what's up? My name is Doug Parker, and we are broadcasting live aboard Royal Caribbean's brand new ship, Quantum of the Seas, yeah, from right here in Bayonne, New Jersey. And what a great show we're going to have today, because first off, we're going to talk all about the features of this smart ship. Yeah, it's like almost all digital on here. also we're going to talk about the the indoor skydiving, the Seaplex, you know, that's where the bumper cars are. And of course, the most talked about North Star Pod that sits high above the ship, and it takes you over 300 feet above sea level. So looking forward to getting some interviews and comments on that. On this episode, we're also got to link up with a listener who has a couple of questions for us see if we can't answer them and

we've only done this one other time, and we almost broke the technology when we did it. So we're going to see if we can't connect and do it live without really breaking and messing things up here. But before we get to our first guest, let's learn a little bit more about Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas.

Like she's 168,000 gross tons.

She's 1141 feet in length.

She cruises at 22 knots, 4,180 guests, 16 elevators, 4,000 elevators, 4,000-thrusters.

She's 136 feet wide, 16 guest decks, 1,500 crew on board here with

2,090 state rooms on board. So a really, really big ship, but a fun ship and a well-laid-out

ship. Very happy to see my next guest on this show because it's been about 10 months since we've

seen each other, Barry Vodran. Hey, it's great to be on your show again, Doug.

Yeah, man. So here we are, Quantum of the Seas, dude. I got to ask you, because you're getting off as I'm coming on. What has been your first impressions of this ship? My first impressions are this ship is a major game changer in the industry. There are so many gadgets and amenities and cool things that you

see on this ship that are on no other ship in the industry. Did I see a robot making drinks

when I just walked by a bar? There was a, the robot bar. I forget what it's called. Bionic

bar is what it's called. But not only does the ship have robotic bartenders, but did I see a skydiving area, and it's got a big contraption on the top of the ship? This shit, it's like a floating amusement park. It really is. I mean, you can do things on this ship. You can't do on any other ship I've ever seen, like the, the I fly, where you can do the simulated skydiving i mean it it takes about an

hour to go through the whole thing and it's just incredible it gives you the best skydiving

experience without having to jump out of a airplane have you ever been skydiving before i've never

i've always wanted to go skydiving so yeah this is a treat is a treat. Yeah, I'm very curious because I've been

skydiving five times, and now to do it simulated, it should be an interesting comparing contrast type

thing. Since you've been on the ship a couple of days, any dining suggestions for me?

You know, this ship doesn't have a main huge dining room. It has a lot of separate dining rooms, unique dining rooms.

There's silk, which is kind of an Asian theme, but there's a ton of places to eat on the ship
