All right, here we go. Welcome in everyone to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast Friday, November 4th, and you are in the studio.

We're going to do a quick little season update, some current events here over the course of the next five, ten minutes on this intro.

And then I will bring you into our episode of the week. I am joined this week by my good friend Mark Kenyon from Wired to Hunt and the Meat Eater. And this one's a little bit Michigan-centric.

I wanted to pick Mark's brain.

He's hunted a lot of different states.

He lists them.

I forget how many there are, but he has hunted a ton of different states for Whitetail.

So I wanted to use that wide scope of information from hunting all these different states to kind of see where Michigan is,

how it stacks up. You know, you hear a lot of this and that, what's true, what's not true.

And then primarily what I wanted to do is maybe get at like what can we collectively as a community

be doing so that we can potentially improve the quality of the deer hunting here in

the state. So there's a lot of general deer hunting talk in this episode. If you're not from Michigan,

you're going to enjoy this as well. But if you are from Michigan, it's probably going to be

a little bit even more in down your alley. So's do this couple things i didn't even write show

notes down this week uh i was i you guys might have noticed last week i've put an episode out early in

the week and said we would be back for our regularly scheduled program and that didn't happen so

my household got hit with a respiratory

infection. Both my kids got sick. I got sick. Maybe you can hear it even in my voice right now. I'm on

the recovery, but I'm still not. I'm not in great shape. And it took its toll on my household. I was
