Hello, Mike Hurley. I am in California California no longer in New York no longer holding a microphone

and looking out the window at the streets of Manhattan I'm just just in in my garage.

Nobody cares about any of that, Jason, it's hashtag snow talk time and the question comes from

Jack today.

Jack says, do you have an on-air light outside of your room that you switch on when you record?

I don't. I have thought about it. I realized I could probably do it. I could probably set something

up involving like a smart light or a smart switch and do that. But the truth is, other

than for the sheer drama of it, I actually think it would be less effective than my current

thing, which is that I have a little plastic doorknob

hangar thing like you would get at a hotel to say do not disturb.

Yep.

That I had printed up that says podcasting in progress and it goes on the outside of the door and that is the

cue to my family not to come in under any circumstances.

And I actually made a bunch of them and sent them to friends one year a few years ago and people

use them for the same purpose.

It's a nice low-tech way of saying, please don't come in here unless, you know, unless there's an an emergency you should text me or whatever because I'm actually

recording right now yeah my you have something mine is purely if my office door is closed

then don't come in I'm working on audio, whether I'm recording or editing, but basically, text me or

or open the door.
