Hello everybody and welcome to Books Unbound, the podcast where we Unbind books to get to their hearts with your hosts.

0:15.0

Us, it's Ariel. And Rayleigh, I'm back. We're back. Hallelujah.

0:21.7

Thank goodness. You know, Raylene?

0:23.6

When I volunteered to do an episode by myself, I didn't really think about how much talking

0:31.1

that really was.

0:32.8

I know.

0:33.2

I listened to your episode today and I was like, she just has to keep talking.

0:36.4

She can't stop.

0:37.1

Yeah. I can't stop. Like usually you can ask, like, obviously, I can ask you a question and then

0:43.1

pause and listen to your answer and think about what I'm going to say next. And obviously,

0:47.1

I know all of these points we need to hit. And I'm, so I'm like leading our, guiding our conversation

0:52.8

to all the things we've just said we want to talk about before hitting record. But there was no pause when I did it by myself. I just had to keep talking. And it was kind of crazy. Yeah, it seems kind of crazy. I bet you're not in a rush to do that ever again. Luckily, you probably won't ever have to do it again. Honestly, I would do it again.

1:11.9

I was thinking about it.

1:12.9

One thing that I did really like about it was that just like, I did like a 16 minute long review. I know. I actually loved that. I was like, I feel like Ariel wouldn't have talked about this book as much if we were having a conversation about it. And so it was nice to be able to just like let you flap your

1:27.5

wings, you know, and just talk about Jane Austen as long as you wanted to. Yeah, exactly. And like,

1:34.1

this wasn't, it didn't line, like, technically if I had been reviewing the next book that I read,

1:39.7

it would have been the fault of stars, spoilers about a book I just read. Cool. But I had more to say about

1:46.7

the biography and I was like, well, I'm never going to get this chance to like talk this much

1:51.4

about a book. So I'm just going to do. So it really, it was fun to just like go for a really long time.

1:57.0

That's good. I'm glad. And talking. So there was some pros. There was cons. It definitely is obviously not as good. But if the time, if we needed to, if you need another break for God's sake, I guess I don't step it. Yeah. I mean, I would do it too. If I had to, I would find a way. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it was fun. It was fun.

2:14.7

Also, it was fun because I could just pause whenever I wanted and take a drink of water or like think about, you know what I mean? Like it is a delicate dance when you with, with, yeah, I do feel very like on the spot. I feel like when we're, we're recording together because it's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. You just have to keep going. You just have to think on the fly. Yeah, have to figure it up together.

2:15.6

Yeah.
