Hey everybody and welcome back to I just want to talk about the Bible.

0:09.6

If this is your first time joining us, then let me just welcome you, saying that I am genuinely

0:13.8

glad that you are here. My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United

0:20.4

States of America with my amazing,

0:23.2

beautiful godly wife Lacey and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity.

0:29.7

So let's just hit the ground running here. I'm going to jump right into a parable that Jesus told.

0:35.5

So Luke 14, 7 through 11 says, now he told a parable to those who

0:44.3

when you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone

1:12.0

who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Now, this is a

1:19.1

parable that I have, that I've really loved for a long time. I like this passage of scripture

1:24.1

a whole lot. It's, I think it's actually pretty straightforward.

1:28.7

And in fact, Jesus says the whole point of the parable here in the final verse of it,

1:33.5

where it says down in verse 11,

1:34.9

for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled,

1:37.6

and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

1:41.2

And so that's basically just a summary of the entire thing.

1:46.3

So it's pretty straightforward.
