wine importer based in New York and working with natural wines from around the world.

So let's talk a little bit about you.

You went to Cornell.

I did.

I went to Cornell and junior year I went off to France and that was my first I'd say my

first huge encounter and huge falling in love with wine and food.

What were some of the key experiences when you got over there?

Well, I grew up in New York City. My parents were not foodies at all. Not much wine in the house.

And when I went to Cornell, I was studying comparative literature and very much involved in the French department

and there was a lot of food and wine already before I took off.

And so to try to choose wines to go to professors' houses,

Cornell, the professors are very open to having

they're good students over for dinner.

And so that was sort of the beginning of how do I do this and

enjoying it enjoying the food and wine.

So when I got to France and saw that people take long lunches with a glass of wine or a bottle of wine,
