This is Dr. Christopher Ryan coming to you from my little living room here in Topanga, California.

Hope everything's going well for you out there in the world.

Yeah, I still, you know, four or five years into this, I still feel like I'm talking to myself.

And I am actually I'm sitting here talking to myself.

I could delete this, start over again.

And I would have been talking to myself or I could just let it go.

And then it's somehow I'm not talking to myself.

It's all very, very strange. Anyway, let's just pretend I'm not talking to myself.

Let's pretend I'm talking to you, which I guess I am.

In any case, I am having a good time here back in Topanga, getting some really good podcasts recorded.

I did one today with Hunter Mott, who came up to my place and we hung out.

You know, like I love these podcasts because you might have an idea of what you're going to talk about.

You might even just not have an idea, but in the first few minutes as happened today,

you sort of start off on a topic, like Hunter said.

So how was your summer? Would you see in the van?

And I got as far as I think like the first three days in the van trip and then we just veered off into whatever came up, you know, just spontaneous stuff.

We never talked about the eclipse, never talked about burning man, never talked about Idaho.

I mean, we didn't talk about 95% of what I did this summer, but that's the sign of a good podcast.

And you never get to the stuff you thought you were going to talk about, I guess you're the judge of that.
