I'm Dave Zengaro.

Rub, we are a quarter of the way through the season.

It's a good chance to kind of take a step back and see where the team is.

And we've spent so much of the first four weeks looking at the offense. I think it's probably time to look at the defense right now.

He was on pace to go 4, 8 and 4 this year. I don't like the chances of that but you never know. Their defense, there have been some

ups and downs, but overall the numbers pretty good after four games.

There's some good numbers, some encouraging numbers, certainly the SAC production is terrific.

They're good on third down.

You know, they've been pretty good against the run for the most part.

They've just given up a lot of points and a lot of that's the product of short fields, which is really more of a reflection on the offense than the defense or equally but you know they're they're

considering the injuries and we've been saying this for three years now

how many debacks they're down and the lack of production are getting at

linebacker at least from the starting linebackers I don't think you can complain

about it and I mean this is what are they number five in yards allowed you know and obviously the Rams game was terrible

for the whole team for the for the definitely for the defense but they're giving the team a chance right now and as they get some

guys back I think you know one hallmark of Jim Schwartz defenses they get better as the season goes on and

he starts figuring out how to use guys and I've never

understood why I mean gosh every time this team gives up a first down I get 50

...
