Welcome back, everybody to The Incomparable.

We are here talking about, this is one of our rare episodes.

See, people write to me, and they say, are you going to talk about this movie that just was in theaters?

And I say, no, probably not. We very rarely talk about a movie that's just in

theaters because it's hard to get everybody together and have everybody have seen it and

still have a conversation while it's still remotely in the sphere of movies that people

are actually talking about. But we did it this time. So this is an aberration. This isn't a regular

feature. But we did just all go see the Martian, not together. We saw them all separately. But now we have come together to talk about the Martian, the major motion picture starring Matt Damon and many, many, many, many other people. Let me introduce my fine panel of five guests that I brought here, all of whom have seen

the Martian.

I really hope.

If somebody says they haven't seen the Martian, I'm going to be very disappointed because why are you here?
