I am your host this week. I am Jim Root. I am joined, of course, by Kai McEwen, by Matthew Cox.

We are all in our humble abodes in Chicago.

Well, technically I met my brother's abode, doing some house sitting, doing some dog sitting.

Matt, I know you're very familiar with taking care of a little sort of diva pup.

How's that going for you with King George over there?

He's currently getting groomed and I think getting shaved.

We got a little lazy on our brushing.

If you guys have poodles or are aware of the poodle brand,

Kai, they have to be meticulously brush.

Otherwise, you get some matting.

And so we have some notch in that have materialized.

So I think the groomer is getting right like that sharp two to one buzz cut today. So he might look a little scary coming out of the shop. We'll see. We will see. I cannot believe that Matt isn't a meticulous brusher of his poodle. That's shocking intel. As my hair flies through the open bill in my backwards cap, I know.

It'd be nice we all could live as laxidazically as I do, Kai.

Oh, it's my goal still, Matt, to achieve the level of loathness and carefree attitude that you exhibit in your life.

It's something to aspire to. Jim?

Yes, Kai. I thought you're going to ask a question.

I don't know. You're just going to say my name. Okay. Nope. Just tossing it back.

All right. Yes, great. Well, hey, we have an exciting little conceptual episode. Let's call it that.

We have, of course, a Roots Roundup that is coming. And then we are going to do a little experiment here. This is a pod idea courtesy of Pete, our pal Pete, the real Billy Bizzle on Twitter. He came up this idea of a bracket

of teams for the last 10 years, 15 years, whatever. We're going to do the Weave era. So starting in

2016. And we're going to have these arguments. We'll explain it more later, but basically we're going to decide the champion of the weave era. It may not be the best team. It's part of our task is to convince the others of a upset potential, even if there is a great team going based on matchups. But we're going to decide the best team of the weave era. Excuse me, not the best team. I just explained that's not the champion of the weave era. We'll release that bracket. So hopefully you enjoy that when we get to it. But of course, we'll start with roundup and an intro. We've got to start with a little self-promotion.
