Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast Friday, October 7th when this episode releases.

I am recording this intro a few days earlier as I am packing up, getting everything in order

so that I can depart for Deer Camp in northern Michigan.

I'm leaving in the very early out, well, morning hours of Wednesday.

I'm probably going to get up at 4 a.m. and try to be on the road at 5 a.m.

So that I'm up there can get camp established and have time to basically scout all day and do a sit Wednesday evening and get into it.

It looks good. We've got weather looks like is going to play nice with us.

This time, it's always the biggest factor when you plan a trip in advance

is that you're just going to be victim of whatever weather situations you're dealt with.

Last year, we had really bad weather situation.

It rained on us for days straight.

It was terrible.

Not ideal, let's say that. Wasn't terrible. It

wasn't a great time. It wasn't ideal, especially for the deer hunting. But what we're seeing

this upcoming weekend is a little bit of rain, which I think will be nice, freshen up the woods,

maybe get some deer active on some scrapes, potentially then a cold front we're looking at temperature

drop the almost 30 degree high temperature drop between wednesday and friday i think wednesday

the high is like 72 and on friday the high is like mid 40s is what I saw and we're going to drop
