Hello, Wackos Welcome to another episode of Without a Country. I am Corinne Fisher. I'm running for mayor in New York City. If you didn't already know that, I'm going to keep saying it and you're going to be like, man, I'm sick of this lady saying it. But maybe it'll just have a certain ring to it. So then you can't say my name without thinking of for mayor of New York City, running for

mayor of New York City.

Again, if you want to contribute to my campaign or if you want to sign up to volunteer in

New York City is what we're preferably looking for right now because we need a lot of field team members

for when we have to start petitioning at the end of this month. As a reminder, if you're running

for mayor, each role has a different amount of signatures it requires. But if you're running for

mayor in New York City, you need to obtain 2,250 verified signatures from registered Democrats who have not signed for any

other candidate, right? It's not a vote. It's not an endorsement. All it's saying is, I believe this person

should have the opportunity to run for this position, okay? And I know you're probably thinking,

oh, 2,250 signatures. It doesn't sound like a ton of signatures.

Well, a lot of times people kind of duke it out over these signatures, and sometimes people can contest it.

And yes, it is.

I literally hear you sniffling and snorting it back there.

You can hear it, but the audience can't.

Okay. Well, that's super distracting.

And for those signatures, you know, most likely we have to get about 10,000 signatures to actually get 2,250 verified.

So, as you can imagine, that will take the work of a lot of incredibly dedicated volunteers

and then the staff who will be managing the volunteers.
