Good morning. Welcome back to the Morning Mindset Edition of the Live Build Change

Podcast and I hope it doesn't throw you off that I say good morning. I only say that because I intend

for these to be a help to you each morning because we've got to start out our day with getting

our thoughts and our beliefs in the right place.

But if you're listening to this some other time of day,

I'm confident it's going to benefit you just as much.

Because every moment of the day,

we could use a mindset reset, so to speak, couldn't we? And it's because we.

And it's because we have these old habits, these old patterns of thinking and feeling and

behaving that are constantly pressing in on us and trying to conform us to their way of doing things.

And the ironic thing about it is we are the ones who built those habits.

We're the ones who installed the software that tries to run our lives and when we become

new creations in Jesus Christ through our faith and what he did for us at the cross and through

raising from the grave.

We now have the challenge before us of every day

fighting those old patterns.

For the sake of being practically in the world, the new creation that Christ has made us to be.

So the morning mindset is one of my attempts to help you get that going every morning of your life.

And yesterday, I mentioned this old cliche,

you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

And I was talking about how there's some truth behind it in terms of how difficult it is to break old patterns and establish new ones.
