I'm going to read the description of this book from its publicity because I think it says quite well what we're going to talk about today.

Titans of Capital is a book by political sociologist Peter Phillips. He's former director of Project Censored. As an aside,

this is a project I heartily support that has to do with getting information out there in the

public domain that is largely censored on basic media.

Anyway, Titans of Capital shows how fewer and larger investment companies now manage the wealth of the world super rich

to the detriment of everyone else in the global environment.

Phillips, says the description, takes us deep into the world of the transnational

finance companies whose outsize influence undermines everything from our environment to our
