There are certain professions that garner an amount of respect and trust.

And it's incredibly heartbreaking when one abuses this trust and power.

On January 12, 1967, a South African man was born,

who would go on to use his profession, a teacher, to lure 21 boys away from train stations

into their deaths. So, if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder.

Beginning in September of 1986, young boys in Cape Malay, South Africa were being lured away from train stations, raped, sodomized, and then strangled to death. The first victim was

14-year-old Jonathan Clausen was found in October of 1986. Their bodies, all aged between 9 and 14,

were later found face down with their hands tied behind their backs in shallow graves.

Some of these boys were found with their underwear around their necks, serving as a garad

with handwritten notes beside them. This killer, due to the victim's location prior to their

murder, was dubbed the Station Strangler. Between 1986 and 1994, there were a speculated number of

22 victims attributed to the Station Strangler, with 11 being found all at once in 1994

in a field in the outskirts of Mitchell's plane. Parents in the area were living in complete paralyzing fear.

Who was this man and why were their children going so willingly? Many refused to send their

children to school and large groups would spend time combing through bushes and fields in an effort
