If you were a devout christian kid in the 1980's, there's a good chance mainstream music was off-limits. Especially debaucherous hair metal bands like Motley Crue and Poison. That one christian glam band, complete with big hair, makeup and tight spandex, changed all that... In this special crossover episode with our friends at Rock That Doesn't Roll, hear the unlikely tale of 1980's hair metal band, Stryper. 0:59.8	So a year ago, we got a call from PRX asking if we wanted to help produce a new music show that they were doing. But not just any music show. This was about the untold stories of CCM, aka Christian contemporary music.

1:40.0	Basically, I knew Amy Grant, and I knew that Amy Grant had a Christian past probably because in high school I had seen an episode of VH1's pop-up video that that was like one of the trivia boop oops but that was like one of the trivia bloop-poops but that was it that was the extent of it for me
1:57.0	well I have two reactions to that one very nice pop-up video sound effect imitation it was great yeah yeah but also you definitely
