Summary

Host Brad Kearns welcomes Tania Tescke, author of the magnificent book, Bordeaux Kitchen, to discuss the amazing journey to getting her book publishing and launched in June 2018.

Tania presents the most comprehensive cultural immersion into French cooking, living and wine you can ever imagine in a book. This is her life's work and filled with insights about improving health through ancestral-style eating, the rich tradition of French cuisine, always honoring the ancestral perspective, and a fabulous education about wine and how to pair it with assorted paleo meals.

While there are now hundreds of paleo-inspired cookbooks, there really has never been a book anywhere near this level of sophistication that weaves in so many rich themes. What's more, Tania's inspiration for plunging deep into the world of ancestral health comes from battling her own health challenges, looking deeper than the simple and often unsatisfactory approach of mainstream medicine, and learning to slow down life for her and her young children along the way. This podcast gives you a great sense of what the book is all about, and the level of passion and absolute commitment Tania gives to this project. Just flipping thru a few pages of Look Inside on Amazon and you will realize what a masterpiece this is. Enjoy the show, and more shows are coming with Tania going deeper into specific topics.

I'm here in California. This is the

beauty of podcasting. We promise we're going to meet someday and celebrate the incredible release

0:45.2

of this masterpiece. And I don't use these terms lightly, but this work that you've created

0:50.8

is absolutely stunning. It's lengthy. It's been cut way back from your

0:55.8

original draft, but it's basically a masterpiece on French culture, French cooking,

1:03.0

the wine traditions that are aligned with that, and it's all inspired by the primal paleo

1:09.4

ancestral health principles. Does that sound like a pretty good description

1:12.3

of your work here? It does. Thanks, Brad. That's very kind of you. But yes, that sounds about right.

1:19.7

Yeah, and we get a lot of submissions at Primal Blueprint Publishing and there of varying degrees of

1:25.4

clarity and, you know, work in progress. And then when you first

1:30.9

contacted me, and you're telling me about this book and sending me, you know, drafts of the

1:36.3

chapters. And it's clear that this has been sort of a culmination of life's work or many years

1:43.4

of intensive study of these subjects that we

1:46.2

mentioned in the content of the book. So I just want to get into the story of how this journey
