I'm your host Heather Ashley and today you'll be hearing part five of the Jason Corbett case.

Small talk sucks so let's dive in. In the last four episodes you heard a lot about the backstory but today we're going back to the scene.

Both Molly and Tom claimed to have killed Jason in self-defense so let's run through

Tom's story and see if the scene backs him up.

According to court documents, Tom claims that he woke up to thud noises upstairs, so he got up,

grabbed his bat, then went upstairs to check it out.

He followed the noise to Molly and Jason's room,

where he claims to have found Jason standing in front of Molly

with his hands around her neck.

Tom says he told Jason to let her go,
