And we're back today with probably one of the most depraved darkest cases that we've ever covered.

And that's saying a lot here on Lights Out. But this case is out of Oakland County, Michigan.

Actually, uh, pretty close to home for Austin. Very close. It is home. That is the spot I grew up, Berkeley, Michigan. Actually, uh, pretty close to home for Austin. Very close. It is home. That is,

that is the spot I grew up, Berkeley, Michigan in Oakland County. And, uh, one of the cases that we'll

be mentioning today, the kidnapping occurred only a few blocks from where I grew up, which is, uh, pretty

odd and, uh, surreal when I think about it. But obviously a different time frame, because I grew up, which is pretty odd and surreal when I think about it.

before I was really around Berkeley.

But I mean, even then and still now, it's regarded as just like an incredibly safe community.

I loved growing up there. I had a lot of freedom there. I could walk down to the convenience store not be scared of my neighbors. It's generally

a very, very safe place, especially for kids. I mean, that was like when I grew up there, it was

kids central. All the boomers had moved to this, like, one neighborhood.

And, I mean, I'm not kidding you, when I'm just up the block of my street, it was, I don't know, 50 kids.

It was just, we were everywhere.

We were all running around, riding our bikes, playing street hockey, doing whatever.

So it's so bizarre that in places that are so safe, statistically and, you know, seemingly
