So today's episode is an answer to a listener question that we got asked and that is would you guys be happy for your child if they told you that they were gay?

And so obviously these conversations are happening more and more and more.

We are experiencing relatives who are saying that they are gay or children are

coming to parents and saying that this is happening or we're just around these things.

And so even if our children aren't struggling with that themselves or questioning their own gender identity, then they're going to have questions

about why is that person struggling with their gender identity?

And these are going to be conversations that we're going to need to have with our children.

So we're going to have that conversation with you

guys today. This is going to be an ongoing conversation, but I'm looking forward to

So when we're considering the topic of gender, gay, would I be happy if my child was gay,

the whole LGBTQ plus movement, I think it's important to consider that every

practice comes with a worldview attached to it. And so we can't isolate these

settings or these you know questions and be like oh well do we

want our children to be happy yes we want our children to be happy do we want

what's best for our children yes we want them to be we want our children to be happy. Do we want what's best for our children? Yes, we want

what's best for them. Do we want what's best for them regardless of what society, you know,

whether society is going to applaud them for it or not applaud them for it yes we aren't

contingent on other people's approval of what our children are doing to value what our children are doing

but do we want what our children to find as happiness outside of scripture and what that says
