Um, so this week we have a very specific episode. First up, I talk to Mooraka and Cody

Ligwist about how tricky it is to end a conversation. Next, I'll talk to Paula Poundstone and Judy

Gold about what it would take for them to move to a random town. We also discuss how girls yearbook

photos in Florida were photoshopped to block out their cleavage, which is wild. Also, terrible photoshopping,

like it's like the worst photoshopping. Next topic, we're now going to talk about starting

and stopping conversations and to join me on this hopefully beautifully started and incitfully

on a weight weight. Don't tell me, Hey Mo. Hi, Nicky. So, um, Adam Mastroyani, uh, probably

butchering that name is a fifth year PhD student in psychology at Harvard. He was getting ready to go

to a party and he was slightly annoyed because he thought inevitably, um, at this party, he's going

to get stuck in a conversation with someone that he didn't want to be stuck in a conversation

for and wishing further conversation to end. And that's when he realized, holy shit, everybody

fears this moment. He's not, he can't be the only one. So he put together a study and found

that most people want to end a conversation and that you are not alone. And in fact,

he found that basically this is crazy. This number is ridiculous. 98% of all conversations
