How are you doing today Katie? Oh, it's great to be podcasting a good David. It seems like it's it's been a little while since we've done one of those and really excited about doing another workflow show.

Yes and our guest today is Internet Star Dan Benjamin.

How you doing Dan?

Hey, you doing well.

Thanks for having me on the show.

Yeah.

Now Dan is a software developer, user interface designer, a writer at hivelogic.com.

Sure.

I've been reading your blog for some time Dan and also you have got your own

podcast studio yourself running now. Yeah I sure do it's been going for about four

months now I've podcasted on and off since maybe 02 or 3 but really wanted to give this a go full time

so yeah that's what I'm doing now. I know there's two that you have that I particularly

enjoy one is the conversation and you want to talk just a little

about what that is? Well yeah definitely that's that's one of the main shows

that I'm involved in for sure and the concept behind the show was wouldn't it be neat to get a handful of people together with sometimes the same, sometimes different opinions and talk about the things that geeks like me are interested in.

So, you know, a few examples of the show, we've talked about I had John Gruber and Andy Anako on there and

we talked about the whole Gizmodamoto iPhone affair. We've talked about things that are super

technical like the H 264 media file format and how the laws work around that and then a lot of the time we've had a whole bunch of much sort of lighter

more enjoyable less technical talks you know things like heritage Dr pepper and the palm pre and the iPad so we we try to have fun and definitely a tech focus show

That's kind of like Oprah for geeks.
