The subject we're going to be talking about today is one I actually hadn't planned for right now,

but what I'm seeing

both from posts, from friends, and also from emails and comments from you guys is a lot of us

are dealing with pests with our squash and zucchini plants. And specifically, I'm talking about

squash bugs and squash vine boars. Just a couple of days ago,

I was in my garden and I was pulling up weeds around some of my squash and I noticed something

red out of the corner of my eye and I looked at it and I realized that it was the squash vine boar

moth. And I have only seen this

moth one other time in my five years of gardening. I was listening to an audio book and I pulled

out my phone, turned off my audio book because I wanted to get a picture of this squash vine boar moth.

I have to admit they are kind of pretty, but this is my

greatest enemy in the garden. And what I did is I finally was able to get a good picture. She

finally sat still long enough. I think she was laying her egg at that moment, which I promptly

destroyed. But I got a picture and then I posted that on my Facebook page at Journey

with Jill in the Garden. And I was pretty amazed at several of you guys started commenting on that

because you have dealt with the squash vine bore or you had questions of whether you were dealing

with the squash bind bore because for the longest time, I had no idea

that's what I was dealing with.

And then the question always seems to come up
