Doug Kramer and I saw this documentary. I've done another doc. I've interviewed another author,

Josh Peck, about his trafficking, sex trafficking documentary. So I felt like I reached out to Doug

and said, hey, see if Kelly would come on and talk about this. So I'm glad that you're

engaged in this project. Can you talk about your background and what got you interested in this,

the problem of child sex trafficking? Yeah. Well, I was an actress for years. That's how I know

Doug from the actor's studio. And then when I was like 38, I was like, okay, I better do something else with my life.

So I went back to school and got my master's, and then I became a professor in film.

And then I was really lucky right after I graduated. I got my job at Chapman University,

and I've been there like 17 years. It's crazy. I can't believe it's been that long.

But through that time, and my job there is I teach directors how to work with actors, and I teach directing and visual storytelling. So my time there at Chapman, I realized that I had, you know, the camera equipment, the editing suite. So I knew that I could save some money working on a project.

I just was waiting for the right project just because from being an actress and also directing

theater, when you do a project, it takes a big chunk of your life.
