Well, Axe, we had just finished taping this morning our new hacks on tap.

We were having our celebratory martini.

The thing was wrapped up and now we're rushing into the booth again for a quick urgent

bulletin before the show because there's some news.

What just came over the wire?

Well, the news is that hacks on tap is enormously powerful because we spent a great deal of time

as people will hear you're talking about the travails of the Kamala Harris campaign and

our doubts about its future.

And by afternoon, she was out of the race.

So someone, and I think it's that sneaky Jeff Fox, who's engineering this podcast, must

have leaked our conversation.

And she immediately called a meeting of her staff and pulled out of the race.

So there you have it.

But this was foreshadowed.

We talk about this later.

I would just say this about Kamala Harris.

I think she had message issues in this campaign.

She had money issues in this campaign.

This is not the end of the story for her.

She has some real gifts.

And I think that she will very much factor into depending on who the nominee is, the vice

presidential discussion come next summer.
