Martin is originally from New Zealand and moved to Anaheim, California in 2018. He is a corporate executive by day and a passionate paranormal investigator by night. However, the paranormal wasn't

always part of his life. For years, Martin considered himself a 99% skeptic and a 1% believer.

It wasn't until the COVID-19 pandemic that his interest in the supernatural began to grow.

With time to spare and little on television, he stumbled upon a paranormal show.

The compelling evidence captured on the program piked his curiosity. And true to his nature,

Martin wasn't content to take what he saw at face value and he set out to uncover the truth for

himself. In July 2022, Martin and his wife Stephanie joined a group investigation led by Nick Groff at the Washoe Club in Virginia City.

The evidence and experiences they encountered that night began to shift the scales of belief for Martin.

At the check-in event, they were assigned to the same investigation group as Kenny and Michelle Bardford.

As the evening unfolded, an instant connection was made. By the end of the

weekend, the four of them were exchanging messages and discussing future investigations. They believed

their meeting was serendipity. In March, 2003, the four of them returned to the Washoe Club for a

private investigation and Golden State Paranormal was born. Since then, the team has returned to

the Washoe Club 10 times and has explored several

other notable locations, including the Mackie Mansion, Territorial Enterprise Building,

Donovan Mill, the Queen Mary, the Kellogg and Maghouses at the Heritage Museum of Orange

County, and in January of 2025, they co-hosted a public investigation of the houses

with Adam Berry. Martin's passion has also taken him to other iconic paranormal hotspots,

including the Los Angeles Police Museum, Bobby Mackie's, Rolling Hills Asylum, and Waverly

Hill Sanatorium. And you know I'm going to ask them all about those. His experiences since
