week I have a question from I will call her Sally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, and

she was born on March 4th of 85 at 1259 AM. What Sally says is this, I'm writing

because I'm at a loss with how to deal with my immediate family. My brother behaves

in ways that are verbally abusive with his attention seemingly fixed on me, and

my parents are unable to help. I believe that he may have some undiagnosed mental

health issues and he refuses to seek help. My parents seem fine with pretending

that his problem and his behavior is not very serious. I've let them know that I'm

not coming home for the holidays and the reaction has not been good. I would

love some advice on how to maintain this boundary I've made knowing that it

will be painful to enact and how to get through to my family about the health

the important question of how do you enact a boundary with your family of

origin that is painful and kind of is at personal risk and that they don't

understand. It's like how do you hold the boundary? How do you stay with the
