When I wrote the Late Round Quarterback, the e-book that got me going down this career

on the map, I was prepared to take some heat.

Back when it was published before the 2012 season, the thing to do was to get early round

quarterbacks.

That season, according to myfantasylead.com's average draft position data, Aaron Rogers,

Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, and Matthew Stafford were all top 17 picks.

They were all first or second rounders in fantasy football drafts.

Fast forward to today and many fantasy drafts see the first quarterback off the board in round

three at the earliest.

Now there are a lot of reasons for this.

It's certainly not just because I wrote an e-book on the subject so many years ago.

There's no chance in hell that I'd take credit for the mentality shift across the industry.

But when I published this e-book, it was like I was this dude telling people that Santa

Claus wasn't real.

So the natural reaction from folks was to either just get angry at me in my mentions when

they learned that I wrote a book on the draft strategy or that give me reasons why they

should be drafting quarterbacks early.
