I don't even know how you got me on this show, Connor. I'm honored to be here, but you hit me at the right time at a moment when I said sure and now here we are.

You interrupt me at any time, but I'll just keep talking about...

This is Zach Braff, star of the TV series Scrubs, writer, director star of the movie Garden State,

but also, less notably, another actor who was rejected by Band of Brothers.

Well, you know, it's funny, you opened up an old wound with this podcast because, you know, it's one of those,

every once in a while in Hollywood a job comes along that's huge like this and this was a very high profile thing I was just starting out everybody I knew who was an actor was going in for it and I got a callback.

When I was first starting out I didn't get a time I'm gonna get a little

nibbles here and there but to get a call back for a Tom Hanks produced epic mini series was a big

deal and I remember that's why it's so ingrained in my memory.

There are roughly 500 speaking roles in band of brothers. A lot of them played by actors who went on to become big stars. James McAvoy, Simon Peg,

Tom Hardy, Michael Fastbender to name a few. But there were also a lot of actors who auditioned

and did not get cast. Seth Rogan was one.

We talked to him back in season one.

He didn't even get a callback.

Zach, however, came a lot closer to landing a pretty significant role,

as did two other actors I spoke with. They were all rejected,

but eventually each of them went on to star in major TV shows.

However, it should be noted that none of them were told that they had dead eyes.
