0:00.0	It was after Marcus' service that things started to really unwind.
0:03.6	He really struggled when he transitioned into civilian life.
0:07.0	I knew that he was grappling with thoughts of suicide,
0:09.5	but I felt like Western medicine had no more options for us.
0:12.9	Based around suicide in the military, I mean, we've actually lost more military service
0:16.2	members to suicide than we have in combat.
0:18.6	We've lost individuals that died by suicide, over 150,000 compared to just over 7,000 that
0:24.6	were lost in the battlefield.
0:25.8	So that number is just staggering.
0:27.3	That number is real.
0:28.6	If you look at modern medicines approach, most of what they offer people that are in that
0:32.6	condition are coping mechanisms.
0:34.8	I was prescribed antidepressants for years.
0:40.3	And we know now that antidepressants work for maybe to 30 to 50% of the population. What do we do for the other 50%? What would you say to the
0:45.3	audience that's listening to this that would be great ways to maybe throw up a flag that someone might
0:50.3	need some help? Some of the red flags that I could identify in hindsight would be.
