📜 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 1:6-10
You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

| 0:56.8 | it's just not how I'm wired hey stop for a second and listen to yourself if that's the kind of thing you're saying. |
| 1:04.5 | You're defining yourself by most likely failures that you've experienced in life, |
| 1:11.0 | by negative circumstances, by perhaps even what a parent said to you |
| 1:15.9 | in the past. |
| 1:17.7 | And I want to challenge you that God says much different things about you than that. He says you are a new creation. He says |
| 1:26.8 | you are an overcomer. He says you are one who is crafted now in the image of God. |
| 1:34.0 | And all of that is true if you've placed your faith in Jesus Christ. |
| 1:38.0 | You see it's less about a religious ceremony you went through by saying a certain prayer or by going to church. |
| 1:45.7 | And it's more about what happens inside a person when they truly place their full reliance on Jesus Christ to be their |
