| 0:36.4 | simply thrown away. That's a billion tons of food worth about a trillion dollars. |

| 0:45.8 | four times over. Unfortunately, we can't just airlift our leftovers into starving |
| 0:52.0 | nations, but not only is all that wasted food not helping them, it's actually hurting us. |

| 1:06.0 | Food production and distribution is a significant source of environmental pollution |
| 1:11.0 | and contributes to global warming through the use of nitrogen-based fertilizers |
