joy. Okay, so let me, let me grab onto your talents as a lawyer and go back to

this mark versus curse and the changes that they recently made in the book of

Mormon, because quite frankly when I looked at the changes, I didn't quite get it.

I was like, well, it still says the same thing to me. I didn't understand the

big progress there. Can you maybe help me out with that as far as explaining

how, you know, how you see that being separated and what those two things mean?

One, it may be a spiritual, one is physical. What are you talking about? Okay, so

you're talking about the recent changes in the chapter headings, correct?

Yes. The actual book of Mormon wasn't changed, but the chapter headings that

precede the chapters that were written and included by, I believe it was Bruce

R. R. Maconkey, again, back in the 1980s. And so this is his kind of introductory

statements to a chapter that you would be reading on the book of Mormon in the

second Nephi chapter five. Yeah, correct. I probably said that wrong. The old, the old

version said, because of their unbelief, the Lamanites are cursed, comma, receive

a skin of blackness, comma, and become a scourge to the Nephites. I believe

reading that the implication is, is that the skin of blackness is the curse, because

it says, the Lamanites are cursed, receive a skin of blackness, and become a scourge

to the Nephites. The new chapter heading says, because of their unbelief, comma, the

Lamanites are cut off from the presence of the Lord, comma, occur, are cursed, and

become a scourge into the Nephites. So the whole reference to the skin of blackness

is gone. But it's still in the book of Mormon. It's still in the scriptures. I don't
