Summary

Hi Beauties!

On this week's episode of Beauty Bytes with Dr. Kay: Secrets of a Plastic Surgeon, I am excited to be joined virtually by founder of Alaya Naturals and my friend, Shauna Reiter. She first developed her superfood product brand after giving birth to her first son, Max. While nursing, she noticed her body was not receiving enough nutrients, specifically probiotics, antioxidants, and adaptogens. Born with an autoimmune condition that suppresses her white blood cells, Shauna prioritizes nutrition to build up her immune system. She believes in including at least 30 different species of plant-based foods in her diet on a weekly basis to promote a healthier gut microbiome. Her greens powder in particular is great for those trying to incorporate antioxidants, probiotics, and adaptogens into their diet. Adaptogens specifically respond to what is going on within your body and adapt accordingly. Tune in to hear us talk about Alaya Naturals, and the benefits of the supplements we should try to include in our diets on a daily basis. I love chatting with friends from around the world and hope the Beauty Bytes enjoy this episode and find it informative! Have a question or something you'd like covered on the podcast? inspired you to create a line? And how did that idea grow into a successful business?
