Today we have a really fun episode for you on a topic we've never even come close to

In the plant kingdom, there's no shortage of fascinating and often mind blowing things

to learn.

For example, as Gardners, we are no stranger to insects eating our plants, but some of

you may not be aware that there are also plants that actually eat insects, and it's not

just a few.

There are about a thousand species of these insect eating plants.

So as you've concluded by now, that is the topic of this week's podcast episode.

It's all about carnivorous plants, the predators of the plant world.

Now to be officially recognized as a truly carnivorous plant, it has to have three traits.

They lure, trap, and digest their prey.
