Hello everybody and welcome to Books Unbound, the podcast where we Unbind books

0:13.0

To get to their hearts with your hosts us, it's Ariel and Raylene. Hello.

0:18.7

Hello, I see we have the iconic Princeton sweater on. It's true. It's in the house. I'm showing it to the video peeps. It's so cute, Raylene. I know. I love the little chairs and the little trees and it's it kind of doesn't show up as the right color on screen, but it is like a minty green.

0:40.0

It's definitely a light minty color. It's gorge. I love it.

0:43.9

Yeah, I also got it in large so it's like nice and big. It's very soft.

0:47.9

Is it kind of textured? Is it kind of soft or terrycloth or something?

0:51.5

It's almost like a kind of like a heather situation where it's like white and mint mixed together.

0:56.7

It's kind of like crunchy.

0:58.8

It's like a crunchy knit.

1:01.1

You know, classic crunch.

1:02.6

When I buy a sweater, the thing that I most want is a crunch.

1:08.0

Yeah, that's what you go for.

1:09.2

Soft on the outside, crunchy on the outside.

2:18.3

So I'm going to start us off with some information. Last week, listen, okay, Raylene has a book. In that book, in that journal, we write notes for what we have to talk about the week next week. So we'll record an episode. episode this is behind the scenes we'll record our episode and then we stop recording and then we go straight into our weekly meeting which is how this machine runs right like if we didn't have the meeting we'd fall apart and so we have a meeting every week where we're like what's coming up what do we have to talk about there's like stuff we have to do, we have to name the episode and we have to get all the links for the description. There's all that sort of admin stuff. And there's certain tasks I do while Raylene's doing other tasks. It's a whole thing. But one of the things we do is, okay, is there anything coming up that we have to talk about next week? Let's make sure to write that down in your book. Yeah. And so at the beginning of every recording, I then ask Raylene, is there anything written in your book? Usually no, but sometimes there is. And last week, we had to mention the audiobook. And I was like, cool, cool, perfect, perfect. And then we start recording, totally forgot. Just gone. Like, just gone. And then it was at the very end of the podcast where I was like, damn, I was supposed to talk about that.

2:24.2

And so we talked about it. But it needs to be at the beginning. Yeah, I worked hard on that thing.

2:30.5

Yeah. Like, it's so cool. So basically, as you guys know, we recorded two audio books

2:38.2

in the last few years. One was Animal Farm and one was the Great Gatsby. And releasing them was

2:43.1

really fun and cool. And we like, we're proud of how that project all turned down. And so then we

2:49.4

were thinking, you know what? What if we did a couple more? Like, it's fun. down. And so then we were thinking, you know what?

2:51.0

What if we did a couple more?

2:52.6

Like, it's fun.

2:53.8

Yeah.
