| 1:17.0 | scandal and in her own life as well. And I think that for many people, she will be missed. |

| 1:30.1 | this will be an opportunity here in Canada, especially you hear people saying whether or not |
| 1:34.7 | this is an opportunity to question the monarchy, to question the institution, if it would be a good |
| 1:40.7 | time for Canadians to get rid of the constitutional monarchy as a source of our government. |
| 1:48.3 | And I want to talk a little bit about some of the symbolism of monarchy that say some of the |
| 1:54.3 | negative aspects and some of the positive aspects that you find in Scripture, but also in history. |
| 2:00.8 | In Scripture, monarchy is presented actually in a |
| 2:04.0 | double way. On the one hand, in the book of Samuel, it is presented as something which at the outset |
| 2:09.8 | would be negative, that the people are clamoring for a king instead of worshiping God or instead |
| 2:16.8 | of depending on God. |
| 2:18.2 | So it's as if they want to put a king in place of God. |
| 2:21.5 | And because of that, Samuel warns them that the king will take their children, |
| 2:26.3 | you know, will take the best of them to fight in their wars and their daughters as wives. |
